Introducing MatchWeekend

The World Cup may only come around every four years, but the beautiful game is played year-round.

If you missed out on the Predict Cup (or want to keep the magic alive), we’ve got just the thing for you: MatchWeekend, a weekly promotion tracking the Big Five leagues.

The premise is simple: predict the outcome of five markets during the week. Watch the teams clash over the weekend, then collect your winnings on Monday.

What Is MatchWeekend?

MatchWeekend (or MW) is a weekly competition that tracks the Big Five association football leagues: the Premier League, the Ligue 1, the Bundesliga, the Serie A and La Liga.

Every week, the slates will be announced – made up of matches from the above leagues. Then, it’s your time to shine:

  1. Head over to MatchWeekend
  2. Browse the upcoming matches and make your pick(s)
  3. Lock in your outcomes by 21:30 (SGT) on Saturday
  4. Enjoy the match(es) and collect your USDT winnings!

The outcomes you predict correctly (assuming the team wins) will earn you points, ranking you on the weekly leaderboard. When the activity ends, rewards are distributed based on players’ position, and can be claimed on the activity screen.

How It Works

The kickoff multiplier

In MatchWeekend, everyone is limited to 10 shares and five markets (for a total of 50 shares per slate). The kickoff multiplier is what sets you apart from other players.

Prior to any given match, this multiplier is applied to your positions based on the pricing of the outcomes you’ve selected – the lower their likelihood of occurring, the greater the multiplier.

The multiplier is calculated as follows: 1.1 / (price + 0.1). Therefore:

  • A side priced at $0.9 will have a multiplier of 1.1
  • The opposite side ($0.1) will have a multiplier of 5.5

Of course, the opposite side must still win the match for this multiplier to be effective.

TL;DR: going against the crowd increases your risk, but it also increases your reward-earning potential.

Locking

To count towards your MW score, all shares must be locked prior to kickoff. Got several matches lined up? You must lock them prior to kickoff of the first match on the slate.

You can trade freely during the match, but you must hold the requisite number of shares by the time the market resolves.

Note that the multiplier is not applied at the time of your lock, but rather at kickoff.

The leaderboard

The leaderboard resets weekly, tracking the points accrued by all players.
