How to Trade Stock Markets on Predict

Last updated: October 1, 2026

To trade stock markets on Predict, open the Finance category, pick a market on a company or index, and buy contracts on the outcome you expect.

Each winning contract pays $1 (losing ones pay $0), so a contract’s price tells you how likely the market thinks that outcome is.

You never own the stock itself. You’re trading on what it will do, which means there’s no brokerage account to open, and you can trade from $1.

The TL;DR:

Predict’s Finance category gives you access to a range of stock-related markets, including future IPO valuations, stock prices and acquisitions.

As with other markets, you can trade on these for as little as $1.

15-minute UP/DOWN markets on stocks such as SPCX (SpaceX), NVDA and MSFT run during US market hours (9:30AM to 4:00PM ET, Monday-Friday).

What stock markets can you trade on Predict?

Predict allows you to trade a range of predictions on financial markets:

Use the filters at the top of the Finance page (Stocks, IPO, Pre-IPO, Market Cap and Commodities) to narrow things down. Under Stocks, the Stock_15min and Daily Up/Down filters take you straight to the short-term price markets.

KEY CONCEPT

You trade contracts on what a stock will do. You never hold the stock, so a contract’s value depends only on the outcome of the question.

How do stock UP/DOWN markets work?

Every UP/DOWN market measures a stock against its price to beat: the price when the window opens.

Each window is its own market, such as SPCX Up or Down, October 1, 9:30AM to 9:45AM ET. When it ends:

  • If the price is higher than the price to beat, UP contracts pay $1 each.
  • If the price is lower, DOWN contracts pay $1 each.
  • If the two prices are exactly equal, the market resolves 50-50 and every contract pays 50c.

Say you buy UP at 45c because you expect SPCX to climb in the opening minutes. If it ends the window higher, each contract pays $1 (a 55c profit). If it doesn’t, you lose your 45c.

These markets work the same way as Predict’s crypto UP/DOWN markets, only with stocks instead of tokens.

Which stocks are available?

The 15-minute markets cover:

  • SPCX (SpaceX)
  • NVDA (Nvidia)
  • MSFT (Microsoft)
  • META (Meta)
  • AMZN (Amazon)
  • GOOGL (Alphabet)
  • TSM (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company)
  • MU (Micron Technology)
  • AVGO (Broadcom)
  • SPY and QQQ (exchange-traded funds, or ETFs, which are single funds that track the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq-100)

More stocks are on the way. SPCX, GOOGL, SPY and QQQ have all joined since the category launched in September 2026, so check the Stock_15min filter for the latest lineup.

What about daily markets?

Daily UP/DOWN markets cover stocks and indices on Asian exchanges, including SK Hynix, the KOSPI Composite Index, the Hang Seng Index, the SSE Composite Index, CXMT, Unitree and SHEIN.

The price to beat here is the official close on the most recent prior trading day, shown above the market’s chart. The market asks whether that day’s closing price is higher or lower, so overnight moves count too. If the prior day was a holiday, the comparison reaches back to the last day the exchange traded.

When can you trade stock markets on Predict?

Stock UP/DOWN markets keep shop hours, because the stocks behind them only trade while their exchange is open.

  • 15-minute markets are open 9:30AM to 4:00PM ET, Monday to Friday. Holidays and half-days follow the exchange’s own calendar.
  • Daily markets follow the hours of their home exchange in Seoul, Hong Kong or Shanghai.
  • IPO, valuation and acquisition markets trade around the clock, like most markets on Predict.

Outside trading hours, a stock UP/DOWN market shows Outside Market Hours with a countdown to when it opens, and you can’t place orders on it. The Finance page also splits these markets into Live and Outside Trading Hours sections, so you can see what’s tradable at a glance.

This is the main difference from crypto UP/DOWN markets, which run 24/7.

How are stock markets resolved?

On Predict, an oracle (a service that brings real-world data onto a blockchain to settle a market) is used to resolve markets. Read more in the prediction market terms explained guide.

  • 15-minute markets resolve automatically through Chainlink Data Streams. Each ticker has its own price feed (for example, SPCX/USDT) built from Binance Futures index prices. The rules on each market link to the exact feed.
  • Daily markets resolve on the exchange’s published close, from the source named in the market’s rules.
  • IPO, valuation and acquisition markets resolve on the dates and sources set out in their rules.

The source named in the rules is the only one that counts. If another chart or app shows a slightly different price, the market still resolves on the named feed. Read the rules before you trade.

How do you place your first stock trade?

  1. Fund your account with USDT on BNB Chain. See how to deposit on BNB Chain prediction markets.
  2. Go to Finance and choose Stocks (or IPO, Market Cap and so on).
  3. Pick a live market. For a 15-minute market, check it isn’t showing Outside Market Hours.
  4. Choose UP or DOWN (or YES or NO), enter an amount from $1, and confirm.
  5. Hold until resolution or sell early. Each winning contract pays $1 once the market resolves.

A 15-minute window moves fast and leaves little time to change your mind. You can lose your whole position if the price moves against you, so only trade what you’re comfortable losing.

Do stock markets on Predict earn yield?

Yes, on markets with the Yield badge. The USDT backing your position earns yield for as long as the position stays open. See how yield works for the details.

This is most beneficial in long-dated markets. An IPO market that runs into 2027 or 2028 can earn yield for months. A 15-minute position, on the other hand, is open for minutes, so the yield on it is nominal.
